| NUCLEUS
Sports Elite Valves have helped win championships and
are currently being further developed to help next years
winners. Suitable for road and race use.
The NUCLEUS valves are
forged in one piece from 21-4N stainless steel, a high
chromium manganese austinetic alloy, to BS 970 349S52. Whereas
99% of engines use stainless only for the exhaust and a lesser
material on the inlet, both NUCLEUS inlet and exhaust
valves are made of stainless steel with an extra hard Stellite
60 pad friction welded to the tip. We do not supply two piece
valves as they are designed by accountants rather than
engineers. |
 | The valves are treated with a matt black Tuffride finish to
72 RC Rockwell hardness where std valves might be around 35 RC
Rockwell. All NUCLEUS valves run lead-free fuel, L.G.P.
and diesel. We have already improved the range of NUCLEUS

NUCLEUS POWER
GUIDES ARE AVAILABLE FOR ANY VEHICLE. These guides are made
from certified aircraft grade copper-nickel-silicon alloy designed
to compliment NUCLEUS valves. Honed to ultra close
clearances, they last on average more than twice the life of
standard valve guides. Consequently, leading to valves that will
enjoy a longer service life. This, coupled with improved sealing to
the valve seats, leads to better starting, increased power and
improved fuel efficiency. Better value for your money all
round.
LEAD-FREE
CONVERSIONS. Your head machined and fitted with silicon
steel hardened inserts. These inserts will not rust if left standing
like other seats. Experienced in all types of difficult engines. The
Cylinder Head Shop offers a high end service to discerning and
demanding owners not normally offered by the auto trade. The way to
solve all problems caused by unleaded fuel. We offer a
while-you-wait service by appointment.

VALVE SEAT
CUTTING ON SERDI EQUIPMENT. Your existing seats cut
using our Serdi 100 and Serdi 5 to 3 or 5 angles for proven
performance, longevity and efficiency.
VALVE SEATS. Silicon steel
rings in standard or oversizes, from stock . One off custom
made designs to order from superior metals.If you want to do
your own conversion, we can supply the leadfree seat and
insert. | K-LINE VALVE
GUIDE LINING. Race proven in efficiency and drastically
reduced wear rate leading to increased longevity. Improved fuel/air
mix consistency and less oil drawn into combustion chamber due to
close tolerance fit. Pioneered for motorcycles by The Cylinder Head

VALVE GUIDES. In standard or
oversizes from stock. One off custom made designs to order in
aircraft quality Colsibro and other even more high specification
materials.
REPLACEMENT VALVES. Apart from
our NUCLEUS SPORTS ELITE range, we offer a supply and demand
service for classic and modern vehicles called CLASSIC
ELITE and STREET ELITE.
We also manufacture one off custom made designs to order using
the same high specification materials, machining and treatments. Ask

| VALVE
RE-FACING.
Using our Serdi 2 Valve Centre to less than .2 of a thou
tolerances. By re-facing original valves to the same exacting
angles and standards as re-cut seats longevity and performance
are improved at little extra cost.

TWIN-PLUG
CONVERSIONS. Twin-plug conversions are possible to almost
any head and will improve combustion and increase performance. In
addition, we have pioneered some techniques not even used by a OEM
factories. Inspect our opposing angled Triumph twin conversion.
Consider flame paths sculpted into your combustion
chamber.
GAS FLOWING. Any head can be
improved, some beyond recognition, by gas flowing. Our technician is
an Ex-Dave Vizard who supports championship winning motorcycle tuner
Len Paterson. In general, we tune for low and mid range increases
but fast road and full race options are available. While we respect
Dave's reputation, and have benefited tremendously by what has been
learned, we have also developed new techniques and approaches in
line with modern materials and technology matching the close
tolerance work we have pioneered.
ADVANCED ENGINEERING AND HEAD
RESTRUCTURING. Re-angled valve positioning and angles, re-shaped
combustion chambers, fins re-shaped, plug diameters changed. Exhaust
stubs changed from to screw into push on or push in and vice versa,
manifold lengths increased, carb throat size increases and flowed.
Anti-reversion steps inserted. Guide housing re-sized for over-size
guides where necessary. Heads, barrels and cases
skimmed.
T.I.G. WELDING. Cracks repaired
successfully, bombed out combustion chambers repaired. In some cases
this will require seats to be replaced.
METAL FINISHING
THROUGH HOT WASH CLEANING AND VAPOUR BLASTING.
We have spent the time to discover the
best beads with the best system to deliver show winning results.
Better than new. Heads, cases or other parts. The Cylinder Head Shop
offers hot wash cleaning as a means of de-greasing and drying your
parts, or, for that better than new, longer lasting finish we offer
a vapour blasting service (while-you-wait by appointment).The vapour
blasting method combines water pressure with air pressure and
selected glass beads. This gives a much harder, wheather enduring,
silky sheen finish. By comparison, conventional beadblasting gives a
dull powdery finish which both stains and wheathers much quicker.
Vapour blasting is the preferred fininsh for collectors and
enthusiasts.
TOP HAT INSERTS. Superior to the
Helicoils we use for other applications, the brass "top hat" shaped
inserts are best replacements for replacing worn out threads for
cylinder head and casing stud and bolt use.
